Life Painting

Man oh man, you get a lot of paintings here. I haven’t posted any of these since I started getting into Lunch and a Portrait more. So here’s a lump-sum-back-payment.

I also haven’t been to this painting session in quite a few weeks. So hopefully that’ll change. Gotta stay sharp, bros. Unprimed masonite and globby acrylic. Sounds like my favourite kind of Friday night.

I'm still pretty happy with this one... turned out but good. Oh yeah, these are chronological, by the way.

If you recall, a while back I did a painting without red. A very green painting. Anyhow, I did this one without blue... kinda. I used a viridian green and it pretty effectively replaced the blue and made it turn out kinda, normal, actually. So technically this wasn't what I was going for. Colour wise, anyway. Otherwise I like it!

THIS ONE, which is the second week of the same model, I did without blue OR viridian green. Warm painting, bros

And here we have a no-yellow painting. Purple! Colour theory! And a juiced-up neck! Distortion is fun.

This one has some serious problems in the structure of the face... but has a certain charm otherwise. Dare I say even a bit of a Lucian Freud kind of quality? Unintentional, I assure you. I think I like it... Right after this one I kinda realized I needed to work a little harder on full-body anatomy. THAT is coming up soon...
