Lot No. 249

Man, if you thought Sherlock Holmes was good… man oh man oh man…

I’m just gonna go ahead and say it, Arthur Conan Doyle is the John Singer Sargent of literature. And NOT just because they both have three names, but that’s badass, too.

Anyhow, I’m getting ahead of myself here… Lot No. 249 is a darn good story. It’s 19th century British foppishness at it’s gentlemanly-conduct-ing best.

Oh yeah, and I made a book cover for it!

Lot No 249

I did the sketch and plan for this one like a day after I finished The Jewel of the Seven Stars. It was by far the easiest time planning that I’ve had with a book cover, and maybe even the easiest to carve. So naturally I put it off, assuming it would be boring. But you know what? I think it might be my favourite. It’s got a real crispness to it, and my work is usually a little rough around the edges. Who woulda thought, eh?

Big Painting!

Whoa! What am I up to right now?

This! A big friggin painting!

What's wrong? I look crazed? Weird.

What's wrong? I look crazed? That's weird.

The Time Machine

Whew. Well now. It’s been a little bit since the last post here. What happened to weekly posts? Seriously. Just ridiculous.

Anyhow, here’s another lino print book cover!

The Time Machine

Now THIS was a good book. Controversial, you might say? Liiiike, perhaps the ending?? WHAT happened? I know what I think happened… Man oh man.

Thoroughly enjoyable, Mr. Data.
