Art on the Street!!

Art on the Street! Guelph! 10-5! Today! All day! Oh man… if only I had posted this days ago! Come by!

Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition!

WHAT are you doing this weekend? Hmmm? The 8th, 9th and 10th of July?

ARE YOU gonna go to Nathan Phillips Square for the TOAE? Well, you should. Why not? Come and say hi to me! Well, you should.

Anyhow, I’ll be there all weekend exhibiting and selling my block prints… and maaaaan, I’ve got a lot of stuff that hasn’t made it onto the website yet! Plus bookmarks… I’m excited about my bookmarks.

So stop on by! Here’s a link to the TOAE website for any other information.

Oh yeah! And I’ll be tucked away in booth #241 in the white section. Mark your calendars!

A Cover for Dracula!

Hey, like I said, here’s the cover I (finally) made for Dracula!! I don’t know about you, but I like it.

So! I’m working on getting ready for the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition in July and I’ve been doing a heck of a lot of printing. I’ll also have a heck of a lot of new stuff there that no one’s ever seen before. Oooh, the excitement. After that I’ll be in Guelph for Art on the Street. So you know, come by and stuff.

Anyhow, I’ve been screwing around a bit with my prints as I go (and trying a new ink… with mixed results), so check out this Dracula variation!

Why not?

Why not?

Also, and this is just the peak of exciting, I’ll be selling bookmarks at all the upcoming exhibitions. How could I go on and on about books and not provide bookmarks? Who’s gonna read without a bookmark? Bookmarks.

While I was in Montreal I managed to get a few block prints done… INCLUDING A NEW DRACULA ILLUSTRATION!

Dracula? With a wolf? This requires research, I says to myself. SOMEHOW though, there was plenty to be had. We just so happened to be living with a wolf. Ok, half wolf, half husky. But that’s about as close as you can get.

AND there was a wolf at the Redpath museum. A male, I think. Nala, the wolf we lived with, is a girl-pup.

There’s no use in drawing something seven times you say? You might think so, but I when I drew out that lino print, I threw down that wolf without even KNOWING it. Yeah.

Dracula For Sale

Hello! I had these here Dracula Prints in an exhibition in Collingwood… and they didn’t sell… and I don’t have room for them… SO! What am I getting at? They’re up for sale!

Need 'em? Want 'em? Got 'em?

Need 'em? Want 'em? Got 'em?

The price for one, frame, matte and all is $135, including shipping (in Canada). Want all three? That’d be $330. Rock-bottom prices, I know, but trust me, I have not gone crazy (well, not crazier at least).

Anyhow, this is something I’ve never directly done on my blog before, so if you’re interested in these guys, or anything else for that matter, e-mail me at corey@coreycanvas.com!
